(I'm looking for something a little more complecated than just one song, but I think this is still probably the best forum for the topic. Also, caution. Rather long post ahead.)

So we all know that Two Steps from Hell consists of Thomas Bergersen, Nick Phoenix and a little bit of additional music by Troels Folmann. That last part got me curious. So my question is, what exactly has Troels written? Here's what I've come up with so far:

General info:

“Troels Folmann is a great friend of mine and the ONLY 3rd party composer we've worked with at TSFH. He is credited on the CD cover of Legend and in our library database for his great contributions. He also contributed a few tracks to Dynasty and Dreams and Imaginations but requested to remain anonymous at the time.” - Thomas Bergersen

So those are the albums to look in, I guess.

Specific tracks:

Troels' Epic Orchestration Reel is a medley of 3 TSFH Legend tracks (and is up for free download on his blog!):

-Destiny of Mankind – 0:00-1:35

-Never Forget – 1:35-3:40

-ASAP – 3:40-5:06

-North Country – Obviously inspired his theme to Tomb Raider: Legends (A neat comparison here)

-Atlantis – This is the least credible one. Some guy on Youtube credited this one to him, but I haven't been able to verify it at all.

The thing is, I'm still missing some tracks. Thomas' comment above says Troels did some work for Dynasty and Dreams and Imaginations, but the tracks I've found are from Legend, TSFH Vol. 1 and (counting Atlantis) Nemesis. I think I've found all the Legend tracks, but whatever he's done for Dynasty and Dreams and Imaginations (and anything that maybe hasn't been mentioned) is still hiding out there.

Any ideas?

I remember Thomas posting on FFshrine about that. Someone said that Atlantis reminded him of Tomb Raider score.

Thomas said it was normal since it was the same composer, Troels.

So I think Atlantis is from Troels.

I'm searching trough ffshrine, but the server is busy at the moment.

EDIT : It's back, found it : http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?p=956506#post956506

I think Friendship To Last borrows some of his ideas, but maybe just the same samples for the voice.

I think on the Legend release, Fields of Blood is a bit in his style as well. It contains some synths that are also in Destiny of Mankind.

Atlantis, I don't know about it. Nemesis is supposed to be fully done by TJB with the exception of False King, but again, it could be true, the choir melody is kinda similar to North Country/TR Legend theme.

About DaI, I am off to search some tracks that remind me of his style.

Welcome to Hell Heaven! It's pretty interesting down up here!

That's true, and I probably should've included this line of the quote to keep things in perspective so people don't get the wrong impression: "Nick and I work really hard (I haven't had a vacation for as long as I can remember) and we've written 99.9% of all the music in the TSFH library." - Thomas Bergersen

But in the sentence after "contributions" Tomas did say "he also contributed a few tracks..." Also, the fact that Troels claims his Epic Reel as his own on his site without additional credits makes me think he was entirely responsible for those three tracks. So Troels did make legitimate contributions, and, in the context of Tomas' full forum conversation, it seems like the other contributions were full tracks too. But you're right. Troels has only done a tiny bit of work for TSFH. I'd just like to figure out exactly what that tiny bit is. ;)

Contributions can mean that he had a small contribution to a cue. For example Thomas or Nick writes it, and he gives a nice tip. Doesn't mean he wrote cues for the CDs.

And since Atlantis is from Nemesis, and this album is not stated in Thomas' comment, I believe it's just Thomas' work.
