TrailerHead:Saga Review

Trailerhead:SAGA is the second installment of public releases from the highly prolific production music company Immediate Music. The album contains 14 powerful tracks selected from Immediate’s previously studio released Themes for Orchestra and Choir series one through three. For those that don’t know or in case this is your first review of an album of such, allow me to briefly explain just who Immediate Music are and what it is they do.

Immediate Music are a production music company based in Los Angeles, California who specialize in composing and arranging music to score trailers for major motion pictures. Their music has only ever been available exclusively for studios and trailer houses. With an ever growing fan base of this genre of music, a small potential niche on the commercial market opened up. With Immediate leading the way, they released their first public album in 2008 entitled Trailerhead of which Saga is the follow up.  Read more>>

If one happens upon a price that is too good to be true, rest assured that you are being offered Replica Watches. In all honesty, if a person is walking down the street with genuine designer Replica Rolex Watches or Longines Watches UK , who can tell the difference? Hardly anyone! The fashion watches shops are trying their best to stop the sale of Breitling Replica .

As for "Darkness on the Edge of Power", I really like new version. I can't say which one is better, they are just different. Orginal version is better to use in trailers, but in my opinion new version is better for this album. It is one of my favourites tracks, so I'm happy to hear other versions.

This is a quite good album, but sometimes I don't feel as much impact as in the original tracks. "Divide and Conquer", for example.

Overall, good album, and a nice continuation for the first Trailerhead. But I liked the first much more, especially "Serenata Immortale", with it's stunning guitar part. It's probably the best guitar I've ever heard in my life...

I truly love this album, though I'm dissapointed at one track: Libertas. The problem(s) I found was that it was too long; or rather I would say it wasn't that intense and epic as the original track, "Liberation". The beginning is a way too long, though I like the guitarr playing in it, but it's a way too long and boring. And when the non-choir intensive part begins, it stops right away and goes back to the same mood as the beginning. And finally when the, by most trailer music fans, very well-known intensive orchesteral and choir part begins, and you hope it to play for at least a minute, the track ends. That's why I don't listen to it as much as other tracks from the album.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the album, and in my opinion, it's far better than Invincible. Trailerhead Saga's tracks are rearranged so they fit people who want to just listen to the music without the trailer itself, and the albums is truly like a saga, just like the name tells. Though i would like to tell everyone which tracks I would have liked to have on the album (though I'm not ungrateful for the album, it's an amazing job): Clash Of Titans, With Great Power, Wyatt's Torch, Journey To The Front, Fury Unleashed, Mercutio, Fahrenheit, Rex Eternum and Birth of a Nation. :)

I actually have to agree with you on that point, even though I like that track. But as you say, the original version is a lot more intense and impactful, so that's why I prefer the live version :)

It's an okay review but I miss the direct link to your judgements and the 4.5 / 5 (or maybe that's just me). I do like your style of writing though!

As for the album, the fact that it's physical would make it a more interesting one for me than Invincible. But it's just as you said, the remixes are well done and Immediate succeeded in making tracks longer for the fans to have more listeningpleasure.

a great one! Agreed

though I'd really prefer it if they didn't put Darkness on the Edge of Power..

Dark Side of Power is already an extreme track and a dear of mine.. it is also a track that you just simply don't touch unless it's about to become The best track on the whole trailer music world!

So I guess what I'm trying to say here, is that Darkness on the Edge of Power is in my opinion subordinate to the original DSOP and really was a mood-killer for me, cuz I was expecting this track to be AWESOME.. too big, kind of boring in the middle..

anyway, the album in its whole is great!

Great review!

I totally agree with the mark and remarks :)

This album is well built, remixes are even more epic as the original versions.

Quite hard to tell whether Invincible or TH:Saga is the best public album...

Maybe you could have a word about the DVD that some lucky people get with TH:Saga
