What is it like to be a componist? I have this silent dream to become one in the future, but I will probably too shy to actually get my dream, so I'm just wondering. I don't know if I can still be one, because I don't have the subject music on school anymore. I still would really like to make my own music though. So here this bunch of questions:

Is it much work? And what is it like to see one of your tracks in a trailer or movie? Do you have much fun in composing? And what are the downsides? And do you need much talent or much patience, or both?

Long things short: Tell me everything!

Welcome to Hell Heaven! It's pretty interesting down up here!

The most important thing is the vocation. You need 90% vocation and 10% talent, luck, etc to fullfil your dreams. Because if you are talented, but don't use it it's just a waste. And many talented people walking out there, but, in a case of writting ambition, how many could get over with the blank page? If you realy want to be a composer you can do it. And it needs work. A lot of work. Coz no one can beat the best. No one can deny a good work. It starts sound like a random monologue from a high school movie. :)
