Full Tilt: Black 2 is here

If you just started reading TMN, well, you picked a great week to do it. That's right: even more good news.

Hot on the heels of Full Tilt: Convergence, Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielsen have just revealed that Full Tilt: Black 2 is droppin'.

Don't let this low-res picture fool you. The original Black was a big success with big, modern, and hard hitting tracks. I think we can only expect this will be even better.

We don't have any preview tracks to share with you, but here are some pictures from a recording session! You can check out the rest here on their Facebook page.

New album releases! - UPDATED

Two trailer music companies have announced the releases of new albums:

  • Groove Addicts/ Full Tilt, who has released Full Tilt: Convergence, the latest album of the Full Tilt series (which is formed, in chronological order, by: Full Tilt 1, 2 & 3, Full Tilt: Black, Full Tilt: Rising. All albums are composed by Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielsen).

Update: FB page updated with tracks from the album

(Note that Groove Addicts is now known under the name of GrooveWorx, although this hasn't been updated on their Facebook page yet. The change took place on  September 3rd, 2010 : "Groove Addicts becomes GrooveWorx. Until last week we were known as Groove Addicts. A jingle and production music company operating for the last 15 years in Los Angeles, CA. " )

  • Anti-Hero, who has released Volume 2, the second album of the company, as you probably deduced from its title. A montage is available for listening to the public. The album has been composed by Dan Diaz, the owner of Anti-Hero.

Both announcements have been made via Facebook.

Groove Addicts releases Full Tilt Rising

Groove Addicts has updated their trailer music website, to feature their new album Full Tilt Rising. As you know, Michael Nielsen, and Kaveh Cohen were working hard on it, and it appears that it's now officially been released. The artwork is stunning, and from the tracks that we've heard already in trailers, on Facebook, and on MySpace, the music is as well.

The website now has an 'Our Work' section where you can view trailers that have Full Tilt's music featured.  One listed is the Japanese trailer for Avatar, which uses the cue "End Game" from Full Tilt Rising.  Also listed are the trailers for The Wolfman, and Prince of Persia.

(On a separate note, I should say that the third and final chapter in the Full Tilt interview series will go live this month.  So sorry to keep you guys waiting.) [UPDATE: My computer broke a couple weeks ago, so it will take a little longer, as it's getting fixed.  Looks like it'll have to wait until the new year. :( ]

(Part 3 should be up within the next two weeks)

More future public releases for the addicts!

It looks like the fan support of the trailer music companies and composers is paying off.  Future World Music announced Aug. 20th on their Facebook page, that they will be coming out with a commercial release available to the public:

"Thank you all for your comments and inquiries.  Currently we are only liscensing music to the movie studios and trailer production companies.  However, we will be releasing music for sale in the near future.  Thank you again!"

It also looks like Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielsen will be releasing an album with some of Groove Addicts' trailer music in the future as well. Kaveh said this in a post dated Aug. 14th at the Chasing the Frog forums, in regards to a public release of Full Tilt tracks:

"I can't tell you when it will be.  But... There will be one.  All the best, -Kaveh"

This is great news for the fanbase and general public, who would love hearing more of the tracks in their entirety.  Two Steps From Hell should be coming out with a public release later this year as well.

Interview with Michael Nielsen and Kaveh Cohen - Part 1

Hello everyone, and welcome back!  Read Tyr's post below this, if you haven't already. ;) While the site was under maintenance, we went live with the first part of a long overdue video interview with the composers of the Full Tilt trailer music library.

I'd like to apologize for the delay in getting this up, but it would take days to describe the technical difficulties I experienced. However, it worked out for the best, because Kaveh, and Collin Perry, sent me some tracks, and new HD footage from their most recent recording session in Seattle, for their newest release "Full Tilt: Rising". You'll find a bit of that at the end of this, and there will be more in the next part. Speaking of which, because I'm extremely busy right now, moving back out to California, the second part will go live next week.

Hello again!

Finally the new site is launched. During the off-line there were few news which have been missed here. Let me summarize them:

  • 3 tracks from Full Tilt: Rising by Groove addicts
  • a new production music company, Anti-Hero
  • a new track, Seraphim, by City of the Fallen
  • X-Ray Dog got an official page on FB
  • Nemesis II blog has been updated, TSFH relocates their studio.
  • Michael Nielsen got a personal webpage. His MySpace profile has been remade and updated with tracks from Full tilt.

Full Tilt: Black, is back in more trailers

I know this news is a bit old for anyone who is keeping up to date with Groove Addict's Full Tilt library Facebook updates, but for anyone that missed it because they've been incapacitated over the past couple weeks (like me), you should check out the two videos that were posted. Music from Michael Nielsen and Kaveh Cohen's highly successful 'Full Tilt: Black' release has been used in two theatrical trailers. The first is the Ninja Assassin trailer, which features the piece "Up From the Ashes".

The second is the theatrical trailer for Jennifer's Body, which features the piece "Shellshock".

You can actually listen to "Shellshock", in all it's glory, uncut, on the Groove Addicts/Full Tilt Facebook fan page, or MySpace page. myspace.com/grooveaddictstrailermusic facebook.com/grooveaddictstrailermusic If you're not a fan, well what are you waiting for? Speaking of the Full Tilt trailer music library, I want the first part of Kaveh Cohen and Michael Nielsen's interview to go live this week. Yep folks. There'll be more than one part.
