TMN reports from Fired Earth Music's recording session
Hoy, hoy! At 13th of July TMN attented to Fired Earth Music's recording session where three upcoming albums were recorded. Read below our experiences.
"An exciting letter arrived in TMN’s mailbox last Thursday from Hannah Vice, Creative Producer of Fired Earth Music. The letter said that three new Trailer Music albums were being recorded in Budapest and that, if we’d like, we could come by and check out the process. Of course we had to! They were staying in Hungary only three days, and the letter arrived at the last minute, but after some quick phone calls and emails, we rushed to organize a meeting for 1pm the next day." News Mix for February
Since there are bunch of news piled up, I decided to post them together as a bunch. So go ahead. (in order of importance maybe?)
- Voice of Rushing Waters, a track from the upcoming album, Divine Power, has been published by City of the Fallen.
- Album The World in a Voice by West One Music, which is a " journey through the eyes of the world, featuring the unique voice of Miriam Stockley. " (never heard of her, did you?)
- A new album by Killer Tracks (just realized what a frightening name for a music company, who would listen to a track which kills the listener, right?), The Movie Soundtrack 2.
- A sample track, The Free Form, from the upcoming album, 2S3XY by 8DAWN. (listen to it below)
- Centurion Rage Records shared an excerpt from the upcoming album, The Golden Age, entitled My Heart, My People, My Kingdom. (sample below)
- Two demos of albums "Album Three" and "Snow Storm" from Nature Shock Music.
Now I would present an aspiring composer to you, Kokenovem. There are many new composers trying to break in the trailer music industry. We at TMN profess, everyone deserves a chance, because everyone must start from somewhere. Therefore here it is the demo of his upcoming album, Fons Vitae. Give him some constructive feedback :).

Two albums have recently been released by West One Music: Action Adventure Trailers 2 (WOM227) and Apocalypse (WOM228) , both in the category "Trailers, Film & Drama".
Apocalypse features "Immense trailer cues from a dark, twisted world" and has been composed by Gresby R. Nash.
APM Music, who distributes West One Music, posted a short message about the release of this album on Facebook, with this comment: "This new generation trailer album was a labour of love, with West One Music and composer, Gresby Nash, surfacing after a gruelling six months in the studio having worked and worked the mix to get the impact and emotion spot on."
Action Adventure Trailers 2 has been composed by Veigar Margeirsson and Mark D. Denis. It features "Full-throttle action. More classic trailer cues from one of Hollywood's finest writing teams".

Hoy, hoy! Summary of recent news we missed or didn't have time to write about it.
- Future World Music uploaded a track, A Winter Fairytale, on Facebook from their upcoming release Immortal Empire.
- X-ray Dog released a new album: Bite Size. It's a 4 CD set and the offers wide range of music style from hot latin to teen pop hits in 30sec cuts. Of course there are some epic choral tracks among them. Thx to DP
- West One Music added four new album to its library. At first sight I think I only emphasize Tribal Journeys here.
- Quote from 2SFH site: ""Power Of Darkness", coming in February 2010."
How the west was one?
Hoy, hoy! West One Music's library fattened again with some huge epic choral pieces. The freshly added 198th album, entitled Homecoming Heroes, featuring "100 piece orchestra and towering 50 person choir [to] create this collection of epic homecoming and powerful heroic themes." The music was composed by Patrick Thomas Hawe.
"Strings of Sorrow" - by Richard Harvey
It's been a while since we've mentioned West One Music on this site, but I noticed that they have recently released some more music by Richard Harvey. If you liked his Epic Journeys album, you might be interested in the much more subdued recent release of Strings of Sorrow. While this album of production music is a change of pace from the usual epic choral pieces we get excited about, it's a very nice collection of string music. It's described on West One's website as,
"Moving, mournful and emotive. A stunning collection of pieces for strings by Richard Harvey"
Not only is this good news for editors, but like many of West One's albums, you can purchase this album from iTunes here for only $5.99. You can check out all of Harvey's work, including Reflections, and his much earlier releases like Redemption or Action Adventure on iTunes here.
You can learn more about Richard Harvey on his website. He has been a musician for such films as The Lion King, Kingdom of Heaven, and Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban. He has also composed original music for television, documentaries, and films. His film work includes working with Hans Zimmer on The Da Vinci Code score, writing the track entitled "Kyrie for the Magdalene".
Some new albums
Here are some new albums which are worth to give them a listen:

Haunted Fairytales , composer: Dan Graham, genre: Film & Drama
" An enchanted world of mystery, dark magic and thrilling adventure."

" Mix-and-match music and sound design for promos, trailers and games."
