List of sites related to trailer music: Final Installment
Here is the end of the endless list of sites related to trailer music! As you may know, everything has an end (there is one exception to this, but it is off-topic, unfortunately).
Three parts were added to the list. To begin with, music libraries. In addition to this, distribution sites. Most of these sites feature music that is accessible to the public, which will allow fans to explore catalogs and libraries as much as they want. Finally, a little bonus: blogs related to trailer music.
To summarize from the beginning:
- blogs
- composers' sites
- distribution sites
- Facebook pages
- music libraries
- Soundcloud accounts
- Twitter accounts
- Youtube accounts
Please note that we do our best to keep the list permanently updated. Feel free to recommend any interesting site that isn't listed here yet, and notify us of any change of site URL :)
Messages from the Vonlichtens: E.S. Posthumus on Facebook/Twitter
As many of you may know if you've been watching our Twitter feed, we've been ReTweeting some tweets by E.S. Posthumus. E.S. Posthumus recently reworked their website, and just last month have built quite a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. All these sites are dutifully updated by "The Guru" (aka their web designer), as she relays messages from the Vonlichten Brothers.
Tidbits like,
"ESP is back in the studio working on something very heavy duty. More details to come soon........"
Sounds intriguing! There was also a hinting at a Vinyl release of Makara, if there's enough interest.
If you haven't started following E.S. Posthumus on Twitter and Facebook, and you're thinking, "Why should I bother? They just write awesome music. Do I really need to be reminded of that with random tweets and Facebook messages?", then, well, I'm not sure we can really convince you. But, for everyone else, you might be surprised to hear that The Guru is holding occasional contests, for autographed CD's. That's got to be pretty cool right? (It is.)
The question for the contest that's running now is "What is the title of the ESP song that is used in conjunction with Posthumus Zone during NFL games?". My best guesses would either be 'Unstoppable' or 'Arise', but we'll find out today (March 4) at 5PM EST what the answer is. I have no clue what the answer is, but perhaps we'll find out March 5 6 at 5PM EST. You can head on over there to join the discussion, and post your answer.
UPDATE: The contest is still running; there's still time to enter! Now into Day 3!
And come on. Who doesn't want to know what Franz and Helmut are up to?

...because it does look like they're up to something..

We want to hear from you as well! Twitter's another easy way to get in touch. Have a question about a trailer, music, or even trailer music, just tweet! Or if you just want to say hi, that's cool too.
Composers at Twitter
Hoy, hoy! I am sure you have heard about Twitter. It's another great and probably gainful idea of Web 2.0 besides MySpace or Facebook. Twitter is good for write down in a few words what are you currently doing or some rambling thoughts.
Well if someone think it seriously it could be a good source of exclusive news. A lot of inside information can be digged from the Twitter of TV series' writers such as Tina Fey (30 Rock) or actors, Omar Epps (House) or actress, Brea Grant (Heroes). Not surpisingly composers and comapnies discovered it aswell because writting on Twitter (or there is a verb twitting?) is trendy, cool, etc.
Originally a post on Tracksounds.com makes me to look for trailer music composers and I managed to find someones. First I tried with Celldweller because he seemed to be open for these kind of modern craze and I was right.
- Celldweller He composes for Position Music.
- BT Maybe he is the co-composer of '300 years later'.
- Tom Salta Composer of Orchestral Series Vol. 01.
- KillerTracks
- 615 Music
- 5alarm
- Groove Addicts
