Update & clarification
Thomas Bergersen has cleared up the situation with Teddy Bear Music in his blog:
The “Sinners” thing seems to have confused some people out there It’s not very complicated, though. Alex is a dear friend of mine and I wanted to help him gain some more recognition for his work so we repackaged his Sinners album for distribution through Extreme Music.
Best,
Thomas
Also, Illusions coming early 2011.
News mix for october
Here is a bunch of news i collected lately for you, guys:
- Whoa! A NEW ALBUM FROM TSFH!! No, chill... It is not exactly.

If you want to see the things clearly, visit Teddy Bear Music. Now you see TBM no longer exists as is. Instead, TBM's former album is now belongs to TSFH (wtf?) . However, it is not yet stated at TSFH's site, but it is at Extreme Music, since Sinners is a part of TSFH's library.
- New album by Corner Stone Cues, Casa Verdugo

Still not exactly what we all adore, however some nice melodies, from genres of pop, r&b, family and romance. Buyable via iTunes.
- New music label by Paul Dinletir, Hipalicious music

Since " Hipalicious Music is a fusion of diverse cultures that awakens the mind to new enlightenment" , it strongly reminds me of City of the Fallen with its ethnic sounding of music. Listen to it here.
The Aleksandar Dimitrijevic live chat: yes, it did happen!
Well, this is quite embarrassing, but I wanted to finish up this story. For those that don't remember, because it was so long ago, we did a live chat with Aleksandar Dimitrijevic, via webcam (below is a picture to prove it!). It was a first for us, and I was hoping that things would go perfectly. They didn't, and that's why there was never a follow up article with a video of the interview. Actually, there could have been that; it just would have been without audio.

That said, I wanted to have something posted that kind of summarized what was said. It's a little silly to do this when it happened so long ago, but I did promise this, and I'd like some closure. I'm sorry to that those that missed it who won't have the opportunity to see it. To give you a picture of what happened, I asked Aleksandar often clumsy questions as I struggled with the few second delay, and Aleksandar provided some wonderful insight and thoughts about himself and trailer music.
I get into more detail, after the jump...
LIVE interview with Aleksandar Dimitrijevic - May 22, 1pm PDT
Hang onto your headphones everyone!
I'm very pleased to announce that TMN will be conducting a live streaming interview with composer Aleksandar Dimitrijevic!

Since an in-person video interview, like we usually have done, wasn't possible, we decided we would try the next best thing: an interview via Skype. But because we're TMN, we had to take things one step further. (When you listen to epic music all day, normal just doesn't cut it)
So we'll be streaming the interview, via webcam, live, for you to watch and listen to. Not only that, but you'll have the opportunity to chime in with questions or comments via a (moderated) text chat. Epic right?
That means if you've been wanting to ask Aleksandar a question, ever since you heard "Clash of the Titans" in surround sound, you will soon have that chance!
For those of you who don't know who Aleksandar Dimitrijevic is, his website might help. He's written trailer music cues for Immediate Music, Fired Earth Music, and has recently started his own company, Teddy Bear Music. His compositions are some of the best in the business, and have been featured in over 30 major motion picture trailers.
This is a unique interview, so don't miss it! I, Michael Morone, will be asking the questions, and I'm looking forward to it. We're very glad that Aleksandar has allowed us this opportunity.
The date & time for the interview is Saturday, May 22 at 1pm PDT (Pacific Time, UTC -8:00)
Aleksandar will be there. Will you?

Interview with Ray Li
You're not the typical trailer music composer that we usually interview. Tell us a little about yourself! What's your musical background? How did you become interested in trailer/production music specifically?
My musical background pretty much doesn't exist. I took a few weeks of piano lessons when I was around 7-8, but that's about the extent of my musical training. Since those lessons, I haven't had any experiences with music until about two years ago, when I just sat down at my family piano and started messing around. Everything I know about music I've taught myself, and I'm fairly proud of that.
My intention has never been to create trailer music. When I was working on my CD, Final Horizon, I really just wrote tracks that appealed to my tastes... And those tastes just happen to correspond with trailer music style.
How did you get involved with Alexandar Dimitrijevic's Teddy Bear Music?
It was actually TrailerMusicNews.com that started the whole thing. You guys were kind enough to include a link to my website in a short article on TMN, and in a great stroke of luck, Alex visited my site. After listening to some of my songs, Alex contacted me via the AIM that I listed on my website. At first, I was really skeptical that the person talking to me on AIM was really Aleksandar Dimitrijevic. Haha, I put him through a torturous amount of confirmation tests to verify that he was who he said he was. I just couldn't believe that this could be happening to me.
What tracks from your Final Horizon album were chosen for Smash the Screen? Did you make new versions of them for Teddy Bear Music? What was that process like?
Alex chose my songs "Life" and "Forsaken" to include on his CD. I sent Alex MIDI files for those songs, and he re-arranged and produced them for the CD. I'm very impressed with what he's done with my songs. It shows just how much I still need to learn about music production.
Being self taught, and making a public CD must have taken a lot of dedication. What drove you to produce Final Horizon? Do you have any favorite tracks of yours?
Really, just a love of music, and a need to express emotions that I can't express any other way. When I'm working on a song or improvising at the piano, it's a great experience. Sure, the production and tweaking is a lot of work, but the whole endeavor has taught me a lot about myself and has been very fulfilling.
Hmm... favorite tracks... I pretty much like all of my tracks equally, but if I had to choose I'd say some of my favorites are "Forsaken," "Edge," "Life," and "Starlight Grace."
Do you have any favorite composers, or trailer music companies?
The odd thing is, I only discovered trailer music AFTER I had finished with my album. It wasn't until a friend of mine listened to my music and suggested that I listen to Immediate Music that I became interested in this whole trailer music stuff. I still have a lot of listening to do, so I'll hold off choosing favorites. But so far Immediate Music and Aleksandar Dimitrijevic's stuff is great!
What are your plans or hopes for the future? Will you be pursuing music as a career?
Right now, I am in the midst of the college application process... (Applications are due in less than a month!) I most likely will not be studying music in college. At this point in my life, taking on music full-time just seems too risky. Also, I've kind of dedicated myself to exploring music on my own, so I wouldn't really be interested in music theory classes anyway. In college, I plan to study physics or engineering. I'll always be working on new songs in my free time though, and hopefully one day my music can become a real way for me to make a living. It would be my dream job.
Any last comments or words of wisdom for our multifarious readers?
I still have a lot to learn, and I really appreciate the comments and support that everyone at TMN has given me! I'd like to apologize for not coming out with anything new recently. As soon as I finish this whole college application process I should be pumping out songs on more a regular basis. Thanks for reading, and I will try to deliver newer and better songs!

You can check out Smash the Screen here; it's the first epic release from Aleksandar Dimitrijevic's Teddy Bear Music. Also, be sure to head on over to Sycross Music for Ray Li's CD Final Horizon.
Interview with Ray Li
Here at TMN we were pleasantly surprised to see Ray Li's name appear on Aleksandar Dimitrijevic's website for Teddy Bear Music. We had written a brief article about his CD release, and just two months later he had music on Teddy Bear Music's first release, Smash the Screen! Ray kindly took a few moments for an interview, and we're excited to share it with you all.

Smash the screen!
Hoy, hoy! Previously we mentioned Teddy Bear Music's teaser site and reel. Aleksandar Dimitrijevic, manager of Teddy Bear Music, drew our attention to the fact that the final site is launched. The company's debut album 'Smash the Screen' is a "collection of epic and cutting edge trailer tracks". Check out the demos here! The music was composed by Alex, but other composers contributed such as Ed Bradshaw, Zac Cranko and Ray Li.
Trivia: More about Ray Li and his album, Sycross here.
this BEAR knows trailer music!
Hoy, hoy! What we know so far about the naming restriction of production music library that there is none. So anything can be connected to trailer music like dogs, cats, apples and our new candidate is the bear. Or Daaa Baarrrrr if you're screaming it and you are a russian rock star. But let's face it: this kind of bear is a tough one and probably doesn't like honey either. I really like its style.
Alkesandar Dimitrijevic just drew our attention in our forum and now on his Facebook page to this reel of TeddyBearMusic. It's epic and full with choir. It is Alex's new production music library? Probably he referred to this demo when he mention in our forum:
[Listening] 25 of my new trailer tracks , while mixing them in to demos. alex
