Centurion Rage: Hybrid on BeatBox

Finally my secret favourite company (*wink*wink*) belongs to a production music publisher. Yes, I do speak about Centurion Rage Record who belongs to BeaboxMD now. Altough only album Hybrid (see link) is auditionable at this moment, but looking forward to the rest. I really enjoy this album, especially tracks Fractal World, Nexus and Epica. I think De Leonardis (the composer) has a special style of composing, his compositions are so complex but still simple. What are your thoughts?

P.S. Other albums in the works, Golden Age and Prometheus Rising, sound promising, too.

Fresh, cool news here...

Actually, not too fresh, but whatever :)

  • Centurion Rage Record is expanding.... I think CRR is the most controversial discussed independent company in this industry. Sure it has its own style. I always feel I hear simultaneously several compositions (aka 2 in 1) listening to the demos. Apropos, demos. CRR now has a super stylish, flashy soundplayer with new demos from the newest albums, Hybrid and The Golden Age.
  • Yoav Goren and Jeff Fayman are not bored. They keep launching new libraries, this time library 1 Revolution Music has been settled, which is their second installment. (bonus question for a Panda-shirt: which was their first one?) 1RM is attended by 5Alarm Music. 1RM already published various albums, which are..... not epic :/ .
  • An interesting announcement today by Extrememusic:  "Two new releases from Two Steps from Hell - MYSTICAL BEGINNINGS and ALL DRONES GO TO HELL!!" . Well, afaik drones are not new. Wait, what? Mystical beginning? Nooo.. This is a joke, guys. Mystical beginnings = All drones. Or not?

  • This is NOT a new company. Jeremiah Pena is a freelance composer, who composes in various genres, now in genre of 'trailer music'. Listen to "Empyreal Clash", a teaser track for his upcoming album Planetary Ending
  • A new album (Vol. 5) by City of the Fallen is coming this Christmas. Also, Ryan Amon is upgrading his studio. Now, on BeatboxMD.
  • Two new albums by X-Ray Dog: X-Pack - Epic Action Adventure and Muttskeeter - Family Adventure Comedy. The first one is worth listening to, some remixes from the previous "ace" albums (Argos for example).
  • Have you checked out Bricwall Audio's new single Dark Energy (Epic vocal mix)? If not, do not hesitate to do it now!
  • Have I missed something?

p.s. We are aware of Epic Score's new public releases, we will make a post about these exceptional albums when they are closer to the release.

A Centurion's Rage

Centurions don't tend to be the most gentle of folk, as I'm sure any of you who have traveled back to ancient rome have witnessed firsthand (or am I the only one with a time machine?). While I stood on the Battlefield of Phillipi, I thought "Jupiter!, this needs some epic orchestral and choral music!" After waiting nearly 2000 years, Centurion Rage Records has finally launched!

Founded by Italian composer Francesco De Leonardis, the company offers some great epic orchestral/choral works. With the launch of the site has come the announcement of a third album which will be availible for purchase: Hybrid. It will join Prometheus Rising for a September release! You can check out some samples from both albums on the company's website!

If you haven't checked out his first Album "Epic Drama Teaser/Trailer", its a suprisingly good listen, especially if you like no holds barred, furiously screaming choirs.
